Eiffel Tower in 1889 |

Back Home
Today I moved out of my dorm room in McAllister and back home. When I got home I was talking to my sister and she insisted that I bring her back a souvenir. I haven't thought much of if or what I was going to buy while visiting the stores in Paris. I asked what she wanted and she said a nice aqua something-that-looks-like-my-fashion-sense. When I told her I could get her a nice mini Eiffel Tower replica that most people get from Paris she told me that would be nice, but it has to be on a necklace or earrings or a charm bracelet, and to make sure its sterling silver and not stainless steel. Stainless steel looks too "industrial", which is the main point of the Eiffel Tower, to show off Frances' industrial power during the Worlds' Fair event in 1889, and as a monument to the French revolution 100 years earlier. But I agreed to not get the cheaper stainless steel if I see it.
